Coaches & Staff

Charles Guldan
My ambition is to educate and motivate clients to reach real goals in health and fitness. This mindset I have for coaching helps to bring your best out so you can achieve the most in these goals.
I enjoy challenging my clients while still keeping it fun whatever the goal. Weight loss, strength and sports specific training are all familiar territories to me. Also, I gladly make myself accessible to my clients so that a higher level of performance can be attained.
I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) as well as have participated in a variety of sports such as Rowing and Strongman.

Brad Nicora
My name is Brad Nicora, I have been a master coach at GO: Fitness Center for the last three years.  I have worked at several gyms throughout my career, but none has been as rewarding.  At GO: Fitness we are different, we care about our clients, their success and getting the results they want.  We give you the support you need with every aspect of your training program from functional resistance training, rest & recovery, nutrition, interval cardio program and life coaching.  We realize that you will only spend a minimal time in the gym training each week.  It’s those times away from me that are the most critical in your success. Teaching you how to make better decisions on your own is what my goal is and giving you the best workout possible.

I began training after I graduated high school.  I loved fitness and working out.  I wanted to help as many people as I could and share my passion for exercise.  I began working at Gold’s Gym while attending the Ohio State University.  I had the fortune to train many different types of clientele. In 2002, before my graduation, I had the great opportunity to work as a student intern for the OSU Football Strength and Conditioning Staff.  This was a very successful year for us, as we won the national championship.  It was also very fun for me because I got to train some of the greatest athletes in the country.  After my graduation in 2004, I worked at Planet Fitness as the General Manager.  It provided me the chance to learn a different side of the business.  However, it made me realize I could not help people like I could as a personal trainer and was not as rewarding.

At GO: Fitness our personal coaching team is the most effective that you will find in the Columbus area.  We realize you have a life outside of the gym, and it can be really hard to stay focused all the time.  That is why I am here to help you-- to help you set realistic goals that are attainable and keep you motivated along the way.

Being able to help you reach your goal is what drives me to work hard everyday. Whatever your goal is, you deserve to reach it and I will do my best to make sure you get there one step at a time

I enjoy being able to see the progress that each one of my clients make over time and the joy that it brings to their lives.

Everybody should enjoy their time here and I do my best to see that each member does.  Whether you're training with me or taking one of my classes, I take it as an opportunity to get to know you better and make your experience here as fun as possible.

My hobbies include long walks on the beach, butterfly kisses, and playing the ukulele.  I'm actually 6'3 in person so if you see me around be sure to look up and say hi!

Lyndsi Benedict
The role of Personal Coach provides me the unique opportunity to combine my passions with my career.  I love to challenge myself, to eat right, and to continue learning about health & fitness.  Just as much, I love to work with others striving towards these pursuits.   My focus to achieve success in these goals lies in the ability to understand my clients.  I look forward to personal relationships that share hard work, educated planning, consistent evaluation and appreciation of accomplishment!

In my personal life I like to “practice what I preach”.  As a former nationally ranked junior tennis player and high school state cross country champion, I’ve continued my athletic career to become a multiple time Ohio 5k & 10k road racing champion as well as moving up in distance lately  to win last years’ Capital City ½ Marathon.  I ran track and cross country as a collegiate athlete and graduated from THE Ohio State University with a degree in exercise science. I’m certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine, the American Council on Exercise, the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the American College of Sports Medicine. In addition to working hard, I tend to play hard.  I love to travel, explore new restaurants, watch anything sports related and spend as much time as possible with my family.

Our relationship begins with you believing you can do it, whatever IT is.  Once you’ve committed to that idea I’m confident that I can lead you through the education and proper workouts to keep you motivated and attain your goals!

Joe Briggs
Unlike most individuals who get involved in the health and fitness field, I was never really an athlete growing up, the talk of the town, or even the first person to be picked on the kickball team. Nope, I’ve always just been an average person.

It wasn’t until I was a late teenager that I actually took action on my interest in health and fitness. From there I became consumed with the fitness lifestyle and the life changing experience that comes with it. I realized I wanted to be “extra” ordinary.

I understand how things may seem difficult, intimidating, and how challenging it is to face adversity. More importantly I understand how to stay positive, persevere, and OVERCOME!

If you want it, go get it! I live this and put this philosophy into every type of training I do. I’m ready, are you?

I am a Certified Fitness Trainer through International Sports Science Association (ISSA), Current Amateur Fitness Model Competitor in Organization of Competitive Bodybuilders (OCB) and an aspiring athlete in other sports

Strength, Spirit, & Perseverance…….Now let’s GO!

Shelley Straub
I have been a Group Exercise instructor at this facility for the past ten years.  I initially became a member when I was still in college as I needed to lose some of the “freshman fifteen.”   My initial goal of losing weight evolved into becoming a Group Exercise instructor which has provided me with many positives in my life.  I have created lasting friendships with the people that I have met in my classes and I have learned so much more about living a healthy lifestyle versus just doing a workout.

When I initially set the goal to join a gym and lose weight, I would have never thought that I would run a marathon or complete a mini-triathlon.  As a mother of two, I understand the time constraints and multi-tasking needed to get things done.   Therefore, my goal as an instructor is to motivate others, including those busy moms, and continually challenge them so they can reach their fitness goals and do the things that they once thought were out of reach.

Kate Stires

I have been a Group Exercise instructor at this facility for the past two years.  I initially became a member so I could have Shelley as a workout buddy, but this quickly evolved into training sessions twice a week with Nick, and opening the gym on two additional days to build in more time for cardio.  With Nick and Shelley's encouragement, I became a certified spinning instructor and a substitute instructor.  I now instruct Rep & Step and Pump & Pedal group classes, train with Lyndsi once a week, workout with Shelley whenever time allows, and have recently become addicted to the treadmill and earphones - multitasking at its best!

I am newly married and work full-time, so I see my time at the gym as "me" time to decompress, keep in shape and face new challenges.  My goal as an instructor is to the offer the same to others.
